CAM Land Acknowledgement
The communities of Cape Ann are located on the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Pawtucket and other groups of Indigenous people. We recognize and honor those Indigenous peoples who have lived in this territory for more than 10,000 years, are here now, and will be here for generations to come.
In the Museum’s work as a steward of this region’s culture and history, we are committed to accurately telling the full, living history of this land. We look forward to working with partners to include Indigenous people and perspectives in telling these stories. Through the Museum’s ongoing initiatives, we seek to expand the visibility of and celebrate the histories, cultures, and stories of the Indigenous peoples of this place.
