Inspired by the special exhibition Designed and Hand-Blocked by the Folly Cove Designers, join fabric artist Jane Keddy in an exploration of the many methods to create pattern and design on fabric. Starting with block prints, students will explore various methods for fabric printing during this six-week course. Methods include printing with fruits and vegetables, found objects, and constructed blocks as well as stenciling and screen printing.
Jane Keddy is a printmaker and textile artist who moved to Cape Ann to open a craft gallery on Bearskin Neck. She fell in love with the area and has been here since. She is a member of the Rocky Neck Art Colony and shows her work at the Salted Cod Arthouse on Rocky Neck. Her current passions are shibori dyeing and ecoprinting.
