Instructor Mary Rhinelander, who completed an honors thesis in printmaking at Harvard and an MFA from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will lead an eight-week class exploring the breadth of possibility inherent in the monoprint technique.  From Edgar Degas to Jasper Johns, this process has provided an outlet for countless artists over the centuries. Rembrandt, for example, combined monotype with his etchings, making each one a unique expression.

Students will create images with ink on a plate and then transfer them to paper using a Conrad Machine Etching Press. Some materials will be provided; a supply list for complete materials will be shared upon registration.
