William R. Cross, the guest curator of Homer at the Beach: A Marine Painter’s Journey, 1869-1880 presented at the Cape Ann Museum in 2019, returns to the Museum to discuss his new book, Winslow Homer: American Passage. Motivated by his work for CAM, Cross’ new biography outlines the arc of Homer’s life and how his story is intertwined with the rapidly changing landscape of the United States in the twentieth century.
