Enjoy free admission to the Cape Ann Museum every First Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Each month, CAM partners with Rockport Brewing Co for a free beer tasting and with a practicing, contemporary artist to interpret the Museum’s collections. Enjoy a taste of local beer and watch art come to life through dance, music, performance, painting, and more.
This June, celebrate the final weekend of This Unique Place: Paintings & Drawings by Jeff Weaver with the artist in the gallery. This special exhibition features oil paintings, pastels and charcoals, all focusing on the built and nature landscape of Cape Ann. Gloucester has been Weaver’s home for 50 years—nearly his entire mature career—and the city continues to fascinate him. His artwork captures an old city as it continues to evolve, a city with a long history that is sometime revered and other times overlooked, a city linked to the sea, a city like no other.
Free tastings will be provided courtesy of Rockport Brewing Co. to all attendees 21+.
