The Second Saturday of each month, the Cape Ann Museum is free for all Cape Ann Residents. Visitors of all ages are invited to head down to the CAM Studio during their visit to participate in a new art project. 

On Saturday, December 10, the Cape Ann Museum is proud to be a partner of the Middle Street Walk. Join us at the Museum for a series of free winter events highlighting the Davis House and Folly Cove Designers.

10:00 am – 5:00 pm - Free Admission to the Cape Ann Museum
Stop by the CAM Courtyard to see the Lobster Trap Lighthouse, inspired by the ongoing Lobster Trap Christmas Tree and Lobster Trap Menorah. Head inside the Museum to visit our four floors of galleries covering the art, history, and culture of Cape Ann.

10:00 am – 5:00 pm - Make Your Own Folly Cove Holiday Cards in the CAM Studio
Visit the special exhibition Designed and Hand-Blocked by the Folly Cove Designers, stop by the CAM Library to see examples of holiday cards from the Folly Cove Designers, and then make your own!

11:00 am - Shadow Puppets Storytime in the CAM Auditorium
Join CAM Educators for Shadow Puppet Storytime from 11:00-11:30 am. Stop by throughout the rest of the day to make your own stories!

12:00 – 2:00 pm – Middle Street Historic Trolley Talk Rides
Follow Cape Ann Museum Docents on the Middle Street Historic Trolley Talk, offered courtesy of CATA. Meet on the steps of City Hall on Warren St.

12:00 – 5:00 pm - 1804 Captain Elias Davis House open and decorated for the season
Enjoy a docent led tour on the half hour of 1804 Captain Elias Davis house decorated for the season.

2:00 pm - Playing with Prisms Demonstration in the Maritime Galleries
Bend light with CAM Educators in the Maritime Galleries from 2:00-2:30 pm

4:00 – 5:00 pm - Brighter Ignited: An Illuminated Public Art Experience
Brighter Ignited is an illuminated mobile art exhibit designed by artist Tova Speter that actively encourages people to engage, connect, and play. This super-sized interactive light display will tour Greater Boston throughout December 2022, featuring illuminated artwork by hundreds of participants from local communities. Stop by the CAM Parking Lot next to City Hall to experience it for yourself! Presented by the Jewish Arts Collaborative.
